Most schools would run more field trips than they actually do. The reason usually isn't interest — it's capacity. Planning a day that actually ties back to something academic, lining up a chaperone, and making sure someone's actually running the day is a lot of lift for one day out of the building, and most staff don't have room for it on top of everything else.

Enrichment Expeditions remove that lift. We plan the day and lead it — a Field Academy teacher runs it, with standards worked in throughout — using the school's own transportation, so a class can go somewhere real without your staff having to build or staff the day themselves.

How it works

  • We plan and lead 1, 3, or 5-day expeditions — day trips or overnights, whichever fits

  • Transportation is provided by the school

  • A Field Academy teacher leads the day; your staff comes along to chaperone

  • Two ways to plan it: work with a teacher to co-create the itinerary, or hand us a topic and we'll take it from there

  • Pass/fail elective credit can be attached if a school wants it — otherwise, it's just the trip

When it happens
Enrichment Expeditions run during the regular school day and year, scheduled around whatever your calendar and transportation allow — a single day, a week, whenever a class needs to be off-site and your staff needs someone else to run it.
